Anthony Gordon injury update ahead of Newcastle United vs Leicester City

Eddie Howe has reveale that Anthony Gordon remains an injury doubt for Newcastle United’s Premier League match against Leicester City on Monday night.

The winger, who has six goals and five assists in the Premier League this season, failed to make the bench for Newcastle’s 2-1 win at home to Brentford on Wednesday evening.
Newcastle are next in Premier League action on Monday evening as they travel to Leicester City.
However, Howe has reveale that Gordon is still suffering pain due to his hip problem.
‘He hasn’t yet. It’s another one we’re monitoring,’ Howe said when aske if Gordon has taken part in full training this week.
‘We think he’s still recovering from a really bad knock he got for England and he’s still got huge bruising on his leg.
‘He’s done individual trainings not done group training. ’s still not feeling 100 per cent pain free so, again, let’s wait and see.’
Meanwhile, Alexander Isak and Kieran Tripper face late fitness tests after they were both forced off against Brentford due to groin issues.
‘Wait and see today, really,’ Howe said on Friday.
‘Of course, I had medical updates yesterday but I will see them for first time today. Hopefully they are feeling okay.
‘I don’t think we have any big injuries from Wednesday night, but we have certainly got a few niggles so let’s wait and see.’
