Arsenal defender Ben White is reportedly considering a shock return to the England squad following the departure of Gareth Southgate.

The 26-year-old ruled himself out of international duty in March ahead of the Three Lions’ friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

The former Brighton defender’s decision to retire from international duty has been in the works for nearly two years, but it has been report that it stemmed from a nagging remark from Southgate’s assistant Steve Holland.

Southgate insists the door is always open for the right-back. Who has not played for his country since leaving the World Cup camp in Qatar in 2022 due to personal reasons.
